This past week has been especially meaningful, full of joy and lasting memories. We hosted a VBS, went on prayer walks, went to a birthday party, played soccer, and shared a powerful message with the kids.
The most impactful moment, came on our last day of ministry. We took time to teach the children about servanthood, showing them what it means to live like Jesus. We shared the story from John 13, where Jesus humbly washed His disciples’ feet. Then, we had the privilege of washing their feet as a symbol of love and service.
As we knelt to wash their feet, some of the kids opened up, and I could see the emotional impact this act had on them. A few were even brought to tears. It was a deeply humbling experience to serve them in this way. Watching them respond with such tenderness was a reminder of how powerful love and service can be.
Over the past month, we’ve formed real connections with these kids, and it was hard to leave. Teaching them about Jesus each day—whether through fun skits, heartfelt messages, or worship—was an absolute joy. I believe these kids felt God’s love in a real and tangible way, and I trust that the seeds of faith we planted will continue to grow.
Serving alongside the team from One Way in Poptún, Petén, Guatemala has been a life-changing experience. The friendships, conversations, and moments of sharing God’s goodness will stay with me forever. I’m grateful for the opportunity to be part of their journey as we serve these kids. I’ll also never forget all the fun we had, exploring caves, running across town for ice cream, driving like maniacs, and so much more! Thank you!
Thanks Lord, for the privilege of serving in this beautiful place
